  I have been going to Dr. Bloom for approx 4 years. While I admit the wait times are long, this is because when it is your "turn", Dr. Bloom makes you feel like he has all the time in the world to listen to you and answer your questions. Since I'd assume he treats every patient the same way, he naturally spends a reasonable time with each one. If I am truly sick, I have always been squeezed in on the day I call. Since I'd assume this same courtesy is extended to all his patients, the waiting room can be pretty full. But it isn't a deliberate overbooking. It is because he wants to take care of all his patients when they need him. Heck, I went to one doc who routinely sees 90-95 patients in a 9-hour day. You can do the stats. Wouldn't you rather see your doc for more than a minute or two? I had cause to be hospitalized a few months ago and Dr. Bloom visited me every day (compared to my surgeon whom I saw once during those 5 days), He is always there when I've needed him, even on his supposed "days off". I have worked in doctors' offices and hospitals and, from my experience, Dr. Bloom is one of the Good Guys, a really great, caring, very knowledgeable physician. To me, it is worth the 45-60 minute wait, knowing that when he sees me, he focuses his attention on me, actually listening, not trying to talk over me or act like he is a demi-god like a lot of docs. If you want a physician in the true sense of the word, you won't go wrong with Dr. Bloom. And yes, I have a life, I work, and I don't like to have to wait anymore than anybody else. But the office is quiet-no loud TV blaring. You can use your computer while you wait. You can talk to your kids. You can just chill out and watch the fish in the aquarium. My only wish would be that the office had an email address. Good health to you.
